At Rapier Systems, we’re committed to providing the best solution for our customers’ requirements.  Our first consideration for most deployments is wireless, but we recognise there are some situations where wireless technology is not appropriate.

It may be that you need to provide an ultra-high speed link to a major datacentre, to provide 100% resilient operation when deployed in tandem with a wireless solution or you may need a high capacity Internet feed into a business park, which is then shared by tenants using local wireless infrastructure; It may even be that a particular site is surrounded by such dense foliage that nothing can penetrate.

To this end, we have forged partnerships with several of the leading fixed-line/private circuit providers, so we can provide a complete, turnkey service if required.

Point to Point links

Where wireless connections are not feasible, due to terrain or urban clutter, a leased point to point circuit provides a secure link between network elements.  These can delivered over fibre or copper media and can provide speeds from 5Mbps to multiple Gigabits.

Dedicated internet access with guaranteed speed and agreed service levels

If your business relies on the strength of its data connection, there are a range of Ethernet solutions which offer dedicated internet access with guaranteed speed and service levels. Delivered over fibre to the cabinet (FTTC), Ethernet First Mile (EFM) or Ethernet over Fibre, we can offer the ideal solution for your business.

These offer the extra reliability, security and symmetrical download and upload speeds that make Ethernet ideal for large data transfers, video conferencing, smooth and seamless VoIP calls, and access to cloud-based services.

Where existing fibre or copper cable (if fibre is not available) connects your business to the nearest street cabinet, and a dedicated Ethernet line carries data to the core network. Rapier has a solution that guarantees symmetrical upload and download speeds of up to 19Mbps, with unlimited data usage and an 8 hour fix time.

EFM (ETHERNET IN THE FIRST MILE)

An ideal Ethernet solution where Ethernet over FTTC is not available and Fibre Ethernet is not economically viable.

Where Fibre Ethernet is not available or would be too expensive to install, Rapier EFM provides an end-to-end Ethernet solution using multiple copper wires to connect your premises directly to the Ethernet core network. The dedicated, uncontended connection provides a high symmetrical bandwidth.

A high speed, dedicated and fully managed connection, ideal for the smooth running of real time applications like video conferencing and VoIP where fibre is not an available option.
